The Christian
...
[Intro]
Before we gained salvation..
You and I were hypocritical Christians
We said we followed Christ but were consumed by our demons inside, just imagine the dragons.
We went to Church on Sundays and even added prayer meetings on the other days.
But refused to invite people back. Let's owe it to shyness.
We wanted to serve on Missions
But we were so afraid to act the Acts of the Apostles.
They thought we were of positivities and smiles.
But beneath our covers.
We were of death and addictions.
I guess that's why our browser history is always cleared.
We prayed long prayers. Even with the nicest rhyming tongues.
But within, they were just empty repetitions.
We did our very best and got the strong faith brand.
But our cores were easily shaken and broken just by the lusty look we received from him or her, or that lusty thought climbed up to our heards when we saw that Instagram post of him or her.
So we walked in shame as if we were not good enough.
To be loved by God and saved through Christ.
But there was nothing we could do to earn his peace.
And it's a free gift.
We accepted. Now forgiven. Changed and released.
And Now..
Dear Christian, don't listen to the lies.
Each day you face an onslaught of past definitions, new accusations and future condemnations.
Each day your enemy stands before you teasing you, enticing you and tempting you to fail.
Each day your accuser whispers, you're not good enough, you're not strong enough, you're not beautiful enough (which might be why you almost always use filters), you're not special enough.
Christian don't listen to the lies.
He may know who you were or how you failed
But he hopes you don't know who you are now.
Christian, please listen to me. Listen to the truth.
You were dead in sin but now alive in Christ.
You were bound by shame but now redeemed by God in Grace.
You were cursed with hell but now blessed with Heaven and hope.
Christian please listen.
Who you were doesn't define who are now.
What you did doesn't limit what you are about to do.
And the more you understand, the stronger you will stand.
So remember,
You always stand with God.
Against the temptations, against the accusations and against the condemnations.
Each day you fight as a Child of God, Indwelt by God, and Empowered by God and as a Christian.
So today when you face your sworn enemy, draw a line in the sand against the adversary. And boldy declare without empathy or apology, that, "I'm not who I was, I'm a Child of the King and I'm not alone."
